Johnny Cash

“a very personal thing”

I have always loved Johnny Cash, the first secular singer I can remember. He reminds me of being with my Hispanic preacher man dad when so much life lay ahead of us. I can remember sitting next to my father in our barely running aqua Mercury Comet listening to AM country and western radio in south Florida in the late 60’s, oblivious to the British invasion and so much more. Johnny would have sensed in my dad some of the sad contradictions of the times and loved him dearly, as do I, although he will never see this website.
